For the past several years, the INGO Discussion Group (formerly the INGO Child Discussion Group) has been meeting on a regular basis. Meetings are held at the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) and bring together representatives and staff from foreign non-governmental organisations that have an office and are operating in Ho Chi Minh City. Occasionally, they are joined by speakers and guests from government agencies, donors and partner organisations. The INGO Discussion Group provides a forum for the sharing of information, knowledge and experience. Its aim is to act as an entry point for more concrete forms of coordination or collaboration in areas such as research, training, as well as advocacy and policy dialogue. Currently, the coordination and facilitation is conducted by a core group of four INGOs (Education for Development; Triangle Generation Humanitaire; Viet Nam Plus; Villes en Transition).
